Shelby Upholstering and Interiors offers services beyond upholstering! We can even custom make new furniture for you. However, unlike many of today’s furniture manufacturers, we won’t use anything but real, high-quality wood for your frames. We understand that you want your investment to be long-term; we design and execute your furnishings so that you won’t be shopping again in three years. Our generations of experience with antiques allows us to create “repros” (reproductions), but if you have the genuine article, we won’t slick it up to the point that its story is obscured.
With all of these services, YOU RULE: your taste, your goals, your choices! We will be happy to lay out the options and give you whatever aid you wish in your selections. Our decades of decorating and technical experience are always at your disposal.
Our strict standards of quality and craftsmanship apply to all our services and prevail with our reupholstering. You will never hear, “Madam, this fabric is you!” from anyone at Shelby Upholstering and Interiors. Speaking of fabric, there are tens of thousands of materials from which to choose; textured plaids, elegant damasks and brocades, arresting tapestries, cheerful chintzes, and practical chenille — it’s your call!
We guarantee that the steps to quality upholstering are applied equally to our restorations of precious antiques and to our re-creations of the beloved pieces that were so good-looking and comfortable when you bought them. Of course, we refinish and re-cane, too!
